I admire Steve Perry for walking away from the stage when he knew he no longer had the voice of his prime, unlike Don Dokken and so many others.
If you're gonna keep singing after your voice has obviously faded, change your style ala Chris Cornell who has gone to a more stripped down acoustic style rather than hard rock so he doesn't have to scream all the time.
