Kind of depends on what you're looking for. Asian food (all regions of China, Thai, Burmese, Korean, Vietnamese, Laotian), it's San Francisco and north San Mateo County hands down. Seattle has a very underrated restaurant scene. N.Y. has the most varied-no other place comes close.

But, in my opinion, there's something about New Orleans (South Louisiana) that puts it at the top of the list. For me, it could be that absence makes the heart grow fonder thing since I only get to experience New Orleans once, maybe twice a year. You just can't get the food (done right) anywhere else.
