No. The guys that do it for a living are comparing him to Willis and Kuechly

I'm looking at the list and I don't see the same talent as Foster.

People are seriously saying Tim Williams isn't a bad consolation prize

What player are you watching? He puts fear in every offense he faces. F*ck the 49ers D is stacked!!!

but his talent isn't really questionable

he's a talented WLB. i never said otherwise

he's not a guy in the "GOAT tier potential" like the 2 guys you listed

you just went for a grand slam in yoru comparison when a double would have been much better

He reminds me of Luke Kuechly when I watch tape. He's an immediate impact player. Sideline to sideline, he will light you up. I'm amazed that he's fallen to this point. ... San Francisco better be right on him with that shoulder." -- Mike Mayock

"My comparison"

quote:

Yahoo Sports NFL analyst Greg Cosell says taking Foster in the Top 5 is a no-brainer and compares him to former Ole Miss great — and future NFL superstar — Patrick Willis: I focus my draft breakdowns on what I see on the tape from each of these prospects. And in that sense, Foster is sensational. He compares well coming out of college to former San Francisco 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis – and I think Foster is a more naturally athletic mover than Willis.

"My comparison"

I'll tweet Mayock and let him know Jake disagrees

Tim Williams at 42 is a pretty good option for a situational pass rusher

I would have been happy with Foster but I'm not that upset we missed. I love this OL going forward

And he shook his head. Didn't seem sold on his health at all.

dunno, but i do know that evidently teams were looking to move back into the 1st round... 2 of the 3 preceding picks were from teams that traded back into the 1st, so it's not beyond the realm of possibility that we could have gotten better value out of the pick...
