Even if II give you that, QBs have 3 other targets and all day to hit them, we're no better.

and our D still looks NFL record terrible...
Remember- the game is timed. Our high-speed passing game is fine, but we couldn't slow it down and grind out drives. Now, hopefully, we can, by upgrading the offensive line and swapping out Tim Hightower for Adrian Peterson.
Defense- have to like Fairley and Rankins together inside vs the run. Lattimore should start opening day at corner.
There's plenty of edge rushers left.

not to mention our very solid line backer pickups. People act like we dont have like 4 more picks. Didnt reach at 32 for pass rusher who is second rounder. Sounds like we have turned a new leaf.

Is AJ Klein, Manti T'eo, and Alex Okafor improvement?

Is it an upgrade if he doesn't even start?

Lack talent at LB, S, CB, DE

Sure but are they good? Could've got a starter at 32 instead of a bench rider.

Zero guarantee that any player drafted will be a starter.
How much of a dropoff in talent do you think exists between a player chosen at 32 versus a player chosen at 42?

we drafted a Cb genius. You wanted another one? We drafted safety in second round last year and vaccaro has decent year. We improved LB in free agency regardless of what you say. And kikakha poss healthy.

who? Who wasnt a reach at 32? The first rounders were off the board. It was obvious. 10 picks later we will have same quality of edge rusher not to mention how do you know he will be starter who ever it may be

Unless Lattimore is injured or dies before the season starts, he's going to start.

Pick values don't matter. Individual players matter. If the best DEs get picked before they pick at 42, they missed out on talent.

why do you act like we have no more picks in the draft? Narrow minded as I have ever seen

So you must agree with the bears picking mitchell bc that is exactly the same mind set. Literally the exact same. And everybody is laughing at you and da bears tonight

Mc'Dowell and budda baker the next two picks plzzzz.. And our defense is dangerous!!!!!

What if he doesn't?
Saints drafted Peat to replace Streif at 13 and it didn't work. What makes you think Ramczyk will start over him? No one is projecting him to start unless both of them are injured. He's depth when you needed a starter.

Yes. Because relying on Breaux and PJ Williams is fricking awful.

I'm not advocating for drafting a safety. The only guy I would've liked was Adams. Bell is not a bonafide FS and Vaccaro is not a deep safety.

AJ Klein and Manti T'eo...
If that's improvement, you're still hurting in a bad way.

Pass rush specialist at best. Doesn't have the athleticism to play SAM or WILL

Literally anyone who would start

There's no first rounders or second rounders until they're drafted. That logic makes no sense.

How? Pick value is bullshite.
If McDowell, Basham, Willis, etc is gone you can't just pick Willis' clone or McDowell's clone. They're individual humans who can get picked before you pick.

Because who will start over him?

Because what happens if the players you want get drafted before you pick and you don't move up? Go BPA again and miss out on a DE? Are we going to pick Tashawn Bower in the 7th because we kept going BPA? You pick your guy, wherever he is.

And what happens when Trubisky is ROY and ends up being a hall of famer? If Trubisky sucks, then yeah, it's terrible. If he's great, can you blame them for moving up to grab their guy?

You don't reach because of need. See Stephone Anthony

I don't believe in "reaching" if there's a guy you want, you go and get him. And Anthony is a terrible example against picking a guy at a needed position. I don't mean getting ANY guy. He at least needs to be worth a damn. Anthony had significant problems at Clemson.
I could turn your "reach at need" argument around and ask, what if they "reached" for Kwon Alexander?

Who? People act like the Saints should have drafted a DE just to fill the spot. Payton said the DE that were left on the board had second round grades.
Don't get me wrong, I would love a stud pass rushing DE too, but you draft a player just to say "look he fills a need." Ramcyk is a stud at OT. Streif is 34. Streif becomes a great backup swing tackle and we jump up to one of the best lines in the league. People take about how envious they are of the Cowboys oline. The put resources into their line. We are too. We have some serious talent at all five line positions.

Read my above post.

And this is a stupid way to look at it. Grading a player and not picking them because they have a first round or second round grade is by far the stupidest thing I've ever heard in terms of draft doctrine.

So we drafted a backup instead of a starter who isn't guaranteed to be there at 42. Wonderful.

You are literally dumb as rocks. You talk crap about other people's hypothetical yet that is all you do assuming people will or wont start immediately. You are trying to fit your argument however you can

Okay....

Alright let's see...
-Saints have a RT who has been playing for a very long time who has already beat out a first round draft pick to keep his spot.
-Saints have no solid RDE opposite of Cam Jordan and DE was addressed a major need by pretty much everyone.
Which position do you think has a better chance of instantly starting? It's common sense.

I'm defending my stance. That's what you do when people attack you from multiple angles.

So in summation, we should not have drafted lattimore bc we needed a defensive end.
We should not have drafted OT bc we need defensive end.
Tonight you will complain about which defensive end we pick bc he is not the ones you listed, yet value is stupid to you if you remember correctly? So it should not matter who we draft tonight as long as its a defensive end, since value doesnt matter and we have a ghost at that position apparently
