Put it between Hammond and NO, draw from BR, Laffy, and NO

It could work, draw an average of 15-17k per game.

New Orleans has trouble supporting a minor league team, much less a major league team. Now, they certainly didn't do the Zephyrs/Baby Cakes any favors by building the stadium off of Airline.

That said: (1) they wouldn't get the consistent support for 81 games, (2) the weather is less than ideal during baseball season, and (3) you always have the threat of an impending hurricane(s) looming.

There are plenty of other attractive options for the MLB to expand: Salt Lake City, Portland, Charlotte, Columbus, Louisville, Nashville.

In the middle of the Lake and/or swamp?

You are not taking baseball fans from LSU or ULL games to go to a new MLB team's games, hell even SLU averages between 1000-1500 people a game you would be missing out on. Putting on the east side of NOLA wouldn't be much better, as the couple of Shuckers games I went to weren't exactly packed, though I'm sure more people would go to a MLB game vs. a minor league game.

I don't think the MLB is interested in putting a team in Manchac.
