Arbitrary number is arbitrary. Houston is 17-5 when Harden has a usage rate under 30% and 38-22 when he's at 30% or above.

My point wasn't to say that Westbrook shouldn't lead his team in usage. He obviously should, he's their best player. I think there's a usage sweet spot though, don't know what that number is, maybe between 30 and 35. And that number probably should vary from team to team based on the talent of the best player and his teammates. 45%, which is Westbrook's number in the playoffs, is too high.

And I don't even think usage rate is the perfect metric on which to base this discussion but it's the best stat we have at this time.
