Mine says it shipped yesterday, but no telling how long it'll take. When I ordered the Father John Misty record it came in like a week in advance. Was hoping I'd at least get this one by Friday.

This song is better than Christmas

Mine shipped yesterday as well, shows arriving tomorrow. I like that they are trying to get it to me on the release date instead of a week later.

For the talk of who TWoD (and/or this album) sounds like, this article and playlist seems fitting to place here. Pitchfork

Still not understanding the relatively low score on meta. Pitchfork just gave it an 8.7 which seems about right to me.

The stereogum article LOVED it as well. Even if you're not into this type of music it's an objectively amazing project. It's at least an 8/10. I dunno if it'll top LITD but it's another great record. I really wish they would've just released Holding On as a single instead of dropping 5. That way the first listen has all of the "wow" moments like in Thinking of a Place, Strangest Thing and Pain. Hearing half of the album many times over kinda took away from the first listen through, not as many surprises. In Chains might be the best track on it though, so at least that was saved.

This. I think that would have been so much better.

Keeps getting better after multiple listens. Hard to pick a favorite

In Chains, Thinking of Place, Strangest Thing, Pain and Nothing to Find are my standouts.

The other 5 are all fantastic, though. Not saying it is better than Lost in the Dream, but it is definitely more accessible. This release should bring in a lot of new fans.

I've listened a couple times. This album is pretty damn good. Much more lively and upbeat than their last,

How does this site work? Do I get to choose what record I want (1 exclusive LP) each month or is it preselected?

I can't decide between In Chains and Strangest Thing which is the best. Both have complex layers that absorb you, and both build to incredible levels. These are two seriously great songs.
