Someone down voting all your war on drugs posts .

Song is awesome. Didn't miss a beat from lost in the dream.

I thought they had downvoted because I put that in the record store day thread

They put this out as a release for RSD. Guess someone here hates them haha.

It was only 10 bucks for the release, but I couldn't pull the trigger. I didn't want to be inconvenienced to flip the record after only 5 minutes

Don't know how anyone could hate the war on drugs.

Yep, and I think this has been a very deep and strong year.

I've only listened to the new song once, but it sounded great. Thinking of a Place and Holding On are both fantastic.

Strangest Thing is really good. Around the 3 minute mark, it really picks up and becomes great. Then at 4:30, it goes to a whole new level and becomes sublime. That guitar tone is something else.

And this song may still be my least favorite of the three singles they have released. This may top Lost in a Dream.

Bump because I still can't get over how good these singles are. On "strangest thing", when the guitar kicks in at 3:30 it literally gives me chills. So hopeful for this album.

That is great and the guitar part at 4:30 is even better IMO.

Going to be a long three weeks waiting for the album. I'm more excited about the War on Drugs than Jeff Sessions is right now.

I definitely see the metacritic score going up, but right now it has three 80/100 scores and one 60/100. No way in hell will this be a 6/10 project.

I say it ends up around 85-90 on meta. Some writers have posted in twitter that it's fantastic, but haven't put reviews out yet.

I'm surprised it already has a metacritic page this far out. Not particularly worried about a 6/10 from Mojo.

Here is a live version of another song off the album. I'm trying not to listen to the new stuff too much, because I want it to be fresh when the whole album is released, but it's tough.

Pain

I agree. The buildup throughout the song is great, but the first time the guitar kicks in is just so unexpected.
