I am taking the family there this morning. Are there any must see attractions? Kids are 8 & 5. Thanks.

Slip the guide a $20 and they'll take you to the sound stage used for the moon landing

It's fantastic, but you will enjoy/appreciate it more than your kids.

The space shuttle sitting on top of a 747.
For a real treat, drive past the first entry where you normally go for the tourist NASA visit. Go to the next left at the light. After you turn left, the next right is the secure entry to the real NASA. However, there is a very large, long building directly across from the security entry and there is a small parking lot you can park at. You can go inside that building and in it is a Saturn V rocket, the largest ever used by NASA (to date). Believe me, you will be amazed by how huge this thing really is. It's 363` tall and 33' in diameter, weighing over 3.5 million pounds.
It's worth seeing, believe me.

Can you imagine being strapped to the top of that thing being blasted into space? There's courage, and then there's that.

I know which old DVD I'm pulling out to watch today. One of the greatest movies ever made. Pudknocker.

I love the Houston Space Center.
We took my 8 year old cousin once and I think I had more fun that she did. And she talked about it for years

When I went 2-3 years ago, the Saturn V hangar was part of the regular, outdoor tour. They drove us around in one of those golfcart trains.

Feeling good today, I take it?
By the way, if you're in the mood to shop electronics, the Fry's nearby has an incredible NASA space theme throughout the store which is really cool.

The kids will probably think the moon rocks are cool.
Just dont ruin it for them and tell them we actually never went to the moon
