I hope to see big things from Lawrence this year. And I hope Gilmore makes big strides this year.

If Ed Alexander improves like he should I would expect him to take over the nose from Gilmore.

I hope Coach Pete doesn't show too much favoritism to Gilmore. That is his boy.

Every season there's an upperclassman with a younger, more talented player behind them. Looks like it's Gilmore this season

Orgeron singled out Lawrence in his presser, said he secured a starting spot with the spring camp he had.

I still believe both Herron and Ed Alexander will provide great production for LSU this upcoming season.

Glad to see Lawrence in that spot. The bothersome part of this is seeing Gilmore still as a starter. Hopefully this changes once the season starts. He'd have to had shown tremendous improvement over last year. All I can picture is him getting shoved backwards 99% of the plays vs Florida. Drove me crazy.

I have faith in O, Jenkins, and Aranda that they know what they're doing with Gilmore at DT.

We rotate our defensive line alot. There will be plenty of snaps to go around. Aranda likes to keep the front 7 fresh.

Gilmore was on skates in Wisky game when he would come in for Valentine, he was awful. I saw some progress as the year went in, but not much. Hope he has made huge gains in the weight room (lower body strength)

If not, and he's the best we have, it would worry me it will be a long year again up the middle against the big boys.
