Just moved into a new place that is 1,456 square feet in BR. Keep the AC around 71-74 on auto. I have entergy for my provider. How much would a reasonable estimate be for my monthly electric bill?

My house is 1550sq ft and relatively new. I pay anywhere from $70 to $175 a month based on time of the year.
We are starting to get into the expensive months so I'd assume the upper portion of that estimate.

Couple hundred bucks in the summer easy. Never less than $100 I would imagine. May could get it down to $80 in months where you don't need AC/Heat.
ETA: depends on how much use from other things as well. I lived in something similar in size in BR at LSU so we used a lot of dishes, had a lot of laundry, ECT. If it's just you and or SO probably won't go over $200 because of decreased use in other appliances.

I'm not sure about what your bill will be in Baton Rouge but I highly recommend a programmable thermostat. Leaving your air under 74 all day is going to be a killer during the summer.
