Yes, this may not have been the golden age of country, but it was the fun age of country.
I'll even go further out on a limb and say I have no qualms about putting late 90s Tim McGraw in this category

He was great up until he married Faith Hill. I've never been a fan of hers. And then he goes and does a duet with Nelly and lost any little bit of credibility he had left. It is truly the turning point of country going bro, and we ended up with Florida Georgia Line as a result, Luke Bryan singing about country rock hip-hop mix tapes.
