1. Brees+ 2d pick to Denv. for Vonn Miller + Paxton Lynch
2. Ingram + No. 11 pick to JAX for No. 4 pick. Take Fournette.
3. No. 32 to N.E. for Butler
4. Draft Ethan Pocic; move Chopsley Strief to O-line coach
5. Chase Daniel starts; Lynch is QB of future
6. Sign AP.
Caveats: hate to see Drew go but need to get value for him while they can. Perhaps doubtful Broncos would part with Miller, even for Brees.

The funny thing is, if the Saints could pull these moves off, they'd be a much better team poised for the future. The real criticism of the moves is not that they'd be bad for the Saints, but that there is probably no way in hell Denver would trade Miller for Brees.

You trade for Butler and also trade away Brees?
One move or the other. Why saddle yourself with a big CB contract while waiting for Lynch to come around? I would do some of the other moves but not trading Brees. I think he can play 4 more years

What's funny to me is you think we have a better shot at winning with Von Miller than we do Brees. I think you need to look at Denver last year to see just about how that would go. You also wanna take on Malcolm Butler's contract when I'm assuming you don't remember Von Miller is about be paid close to $100 million.

Again, I am a Brees fan. But, 7-9 x 3. He's turning 39. My assumption is his huge contract and Miller's cancel out.
BTW, if the Saints are going to try to win another SB with Drew -- which is fine -- then taking a QB in the 3rd rd. 2 yrs ago was a huge waste of a pick, as would be taking a QB in the first 3 rds. this yr.

The reason we've got those 7 wins is because of Brees. You'd be looking at 3-13 or 2-14 if he wasn't here. If Loomis and Payton would get their heads out of their asses and build the man a goddamn defense, we'd have 2, possibly 3 Super Bowl trophies by now.

I mean Paxton lynch couldn't beat out Siemen and Daniel is a career backup who couldn't beat out Alex smith.
