Had one in my backyard in the house I moved into last year. My girlfriend started bringing her golden around and I dug the whole thing up and threw it out. You'd be surprised how deep that main bulb goes into the ground - was a pain in the arse!

Just dropped the old boy off at the vet. He said the best thing I could have done was to make him vomit. Said he should be fine but to make sure wanted to give him a bag of antibiotics through an IV
