I lived one semester in the East Stadium dorms back in the mid 80's. Where exactly was the asbestos? I recall that dorm room being concrete up one side and down the other. With out a/c and the window the sounds in there reverberated like you were in a drum or a concrete cave. There was no detectable insulation as I recall, lol! Speaking of living in TS, I sure wish that I had taken a pic or two to remember I by since it was kinda special (despite the lack of comfort on many levels) living in such a revered and historic building. Does anyone know where I could find pics of the inside of the dorm rooms?

are East and West being stripped down to the concrete already?

I don't understand how you could tear them down without messing with the structural integrity of the stands above them...

Been wondering the same, I was in West Stadium fall of 80 and recall it pretty much like you do. The only thing I can imagine is the ceiling tiles (and I don't recall what the ceilings looked like) may have been asbestos.

I also recall there were large storage rooms across the hall from the dorm rooms. Seems those could be turned into useful spaces for concessions or restrooms actual fit for human habitation.

Yea man another thing the tech told me is there are plenty of dorms with like 80's posters and stuff in them that were just left behind. No telling what you can find in there
