This is what happened:
Putin tipped off Team Trump that Obama was surveilling them.
Team Trump had no where to go to report that information. Obama would have denied the accusation and he would have painted Trump as a conspiracy theorist ensuring him losing the election. Furthermore Comey was compromised. He was working on behalf of Obama.
Trump's only way to vindicate he and his team was to goad the Obama administration in, win the election and then expose them.
You are now on the verge of seeing the Obama administration getting exposed.
