I use IPVanish for Kodi. I had set it up on my router and it does cause issues with DTVN. You lose the locals. I had installed it on my router but have since removed it and only run it on my phone and fireTVs when streaming Kodi.

I work from home and already use a VPN daily so I was having issues with my work network and DTVN. That's why I just use the android app when I need it.

Thanks. That's answers a couple of my questions. So you sideloaded the app onto your fire device and turn it on when using kodi.. does it stay on until you de activate?

For iOS use, I would just download app and login?

IPVanish seems to be the one most compatible with fire tv from what I've read.

Here's a link that will take 25% off the price of IPV if anyone else is shopping around. LINK
