New to TD but need some help.
Had a first offense DWI (I didn't blow), lawyer advised me to plea guilty so we didn't go to trial, where he claimed we'd likely lose..this was in December.

Well now I get a letter that my license is being suspended for a YEAR starting at the end of April 2017. And on top of that, my insurance just dropped me.

Besides being pissed and overwhelmed I have no idea where to begin or how much this will end up costing me.

I need to be able to drive. It's crucial.

Pretty sure that's standard when you don't blow.

Were the facts of the case strongly against you or something? Why would you plead guilty after not blowing? That's the whole point of not blowing.

Which part do you need help with? Sounds like you need to apply for a hardship license to get to work or school

Yes. It would've been totally against me. Pulling cameras, the people they'd subpoena...it was just a bad situation.

Sucks.

A hardship license...that's exactly what I needed to know.

I can apply for that? How?

Through the court, I believe. If granted, you'll have to have one of those interlock car breathalyzers put in.

Maybe invent a time machine so you can go back in time and not drink and drive you piece of shite.

You got what you deserve.

Little things like license and insurance, even auto tags don't mean much to many many people, just don't worry and go on like they do. Enjoy the savings from not having to pay the useless insurance premiums.

He didn't get severely injured in a 1 car accident. That's what he deserves for being a dumbass.
