We did just fine because the idea of net neutrality was adheared to. Every packet was treated equally, the thing some seem to be so against.

Because big telecoms weren't throttling sites, trying to charge people access to them and using government fiat to crush competition.
Net Neutrality needs to be left alone.

Proggies may be wrong about a ton of things but they're not wrong on this one. You should appreciate that they don't want the ability to block news sites enough to make net neutrality go away.
