You think his plan that jumped so much post-ACA was covering all of the essential health benefits, had no lifetime cap, and no pre-existing condition exclusions?
I have a bridge to sell you.
"If you like your plan, you can keep your plan. PERIOD."

You could for at least a year! But did you really think you'd be able to keep a plan that didn't conform to any of the minimum requirements of the ACA forever?

Not at all. Maybe his plan doesn't cover ambulance coverage, so it wouldn't have paid for his trip to the hospital after being hit by a truck. A heart attack was clearly caused by a pre-existing condition he did not disclosed, so they would retroactively revoke the policy. Cancer they would cover until he reached his lifetime cap of $100k, then he'd be on his own for 100% of the costs. Good luck!
Interesting that you know the terms of his plan better than he does.
I'm willing to make a one-month ban bet right now. His plan did not have a lifetime cap of $100k. Care to take me up on it or do you just want to admit being dishonest?

Now you are moving the goal posts. Just admit you have no idea what you are talking about and move on.

No. I didn't fall for any of the Obamacare lies. Neither did any of the Republicans in Washington. We all could see it was lies. You believed it, though! Gruber's "stupid American voters" believed it, and Obama screwed them.
Those blatant lies and loss of trust is why there's been wholesale replacement of dimocratix politicians in DC and on the state level.

Anyone who has experienced a large increase in their premiums is in one of two groups...they either had shitty insurance and were costing the rest of us dearly....or they are dealing with a crooked insurance company who is raising rates without any regard to increased risks....any other reason that yall can conjur up is merely wrong....
I don't understand why you desperately cling to those discredited talking points. Multiple people on this board have prove otherwise.

Apparently I know how to move the goal posts....
You stated that the insurance companies were regulated by the state...which is not entirely accurate...they are mostly regulated by a quasi state entity whose budget is mostly derived (in some instances wholly derived) from the industry itself....and therefore heavily influenced by the industry and its interests.
So I am moving the goal posts by asking you if insurance companies sold shitty policies (and still sale shitty policies)?

My premiums are right at $5,000 per year. Prior to ObamaCare, I paid about $2600 per year.

"It's a tax."

I didn't think you could link anything requested. No big deal. Just more bullshite from you.

quote:GDawg is full of socialist shite. There used to be these shite "individual" plans for part-timers that capped at a low amount that were recommend ed by the company but not supplemented by the company. I have NEVER seen a company sponsored plan that the cap was less than a million, normally 2 million, and this is over the last 30 years I have administered plans.
Now you are moving the goal posts. Just admit you have no idea what you are talking about and move on.

You are really clueless.
Help a brother out then....explain how no one has ever held a shitty health insurance policy in the United States because the state regulates such things....

Not one single dimocratix ever mentioned anything about "shitty policies" prior to Obamacare being passed. On the contrary, Obama and y'all repeated over and over and over that "if you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan. PERIOD!"
The "shitty policy" narrative that popped up after Obamacare was rammed through was the very definition of "moving the goalposts."

quote:"not really insurance" is exactly what's available on the exchanges. A "plan" with $12,000 deductable for someone making $24,000 a year isn't insurance. It's a waste of money. They will bankrupt either way. They will receive reimbursed indigent care either way.
Can't keep plans that aren't really insurance.

Your story would be great about helping out the less fortunate in our society and all except for one glaring omission.
You want everyone else to pay for the so called less fortunates through the Governent mandates, but you don't expect the Governent to put any kind of stipulations on the less fortunates behaviors.
So, the less fortunates continue to fornicate and have multiple kids they can't afford. The less fortunates continue to smoke cigarettes and treat their bodies like they are garbage disposals. The less fortunates refuse to exercise, drink alcohol, do drugs, overeat till they are 300 pounds, let little Johnny run barefoot in the winter till he catches cold, then they bring him to the emergency room.
So you see, the less fortunates can practice all manner of activities that put them at medical risk with no ramifications, and then I'm stuck footing the bill.
Great plan!

I agree 100%....as our current president said so succinctly...who knew healthcare was so damned complicated.
Despite the fact that no one mentioned shitty policies they existed 9and still exist) and they cost those of us with real policies as much as someone not having a policy at all. We can move the fricking goal posts to the fricking moon and it will not change the fact that:
A) Uninsured folks cost insured folks money
B) Uniderinsured folks cost properly insured folks money
Those goal posts are firmly planted and ain't going anywhere.
The whole diatribe about lying arse muslim foreign born presidents saying you can keep you policy aint got a fricking thing in the world to do with the reality of the fact that underinsured and uninsured folks cost the rest of us a pile of money....
