It's basic economics, government sticking its fingers into corporations instead of allowing them to purely compete with each other gives the consumer fewer choices and higher costs
Things such as the government control of CO2 emissions, the companies should be allowed to COMPETE on this and APPEAL to the consumer that they produce cleanly, as far as efficiency-the more efficient a process is the more a company and consumer can SAVE

I don't know what level of economics classes you took, or where you took them, but what you said is absolutely not true.
Going back all the way to Adam Smith, the thought leaders in economics have always acknowledged that certain things (examples: healthcare, national defense, etc.) aren't free market items, and the government should be involved.
Since the truth will be upsetting to you, maybe this will relax you:

Leave it up to Repubs to put economic gains over the air we breathe.

Amazing how people start thread in an attempt to appear intelligent, but end up looking ignorant.

I've always wondered where this stands in relation to something much more indespensible, like food.

But you are probably fine with government regulations against unions and right to work laws.

I enjoy eating food what be what it says on the label and not breathing sulphur dioxide and not having chemical runoff in my water, but I feel ya dog.
