Wanna make it interesting?

Dude, I've already had two liberals weasel out of a bet with me on this very site, so you can forget it.

But, I never post anything I don't believe. I think there's better than a 50/50 chance that Roe v. Wade is overturned before the end of Trump's first term.

You don't believe that, but you are going to be shocked at the turnover about to take place on the SC. Trump will make 3 picks during his first term.

Vice President Pence on Thursday cast a tie-breaking procedural vote that allowed the Senate to move forward with an effort to nix an Obama-era rule that blocked states from defunding healthcare providers for political reasons.

This is all fine and good, but some states are going to use this in ways that the moral majority disagree with, and they will be OUTRAGED!

If Roe v wade couldn't get overturned in the last 40 years under a conservative Supreme Court with 5 republicans on it, it will never ever be touched again.

Get over it.

Sorry. I only speak English.

Tell you what I will Do, bro. You care to make a long-term av bet? Here's what I predict:

President Trump will make at least 3 SC picks during his first term. Now, if you want to take the under on that, I propose a 1-year av bet. The winner gets to choose an av for the loser.

My bad, Pettifogger. I thought you were saying that about me. I will apologize when I have misunderstood something.

PS - You worded that poorly, though.

Doubt it happens even then.

From a moral position, the sooner the better, probably, if it saves lives of unborn.

From a legal position, I suspect you'd want to allow public consensus to grow (hopefully in favor of overturn) as the prospect grew closer to reality, and potentially set up for it with foundational decisions leading to a reversal.

Same thing for the left in Heller, for example. I think it'd be a mistake (assuming they could), to jump in and do a reversal, resulting in a likely ping pong as to a fundamental matter of BOR interpretation, thereby discrediting the Court (and probably prompting political swing toward the right).

Yes, and I bet Pence is smiling back. Whether people like him or not, he's a true believer.

As it should be. It's completely bullshite legal reasoning. I'm solidly pro-choice, but Roe v. Wade is a fricking shitshow of a decision.
