I'd want to be nowhere near that test

I'm having a shitty morning at work and I'm taking it out on Jupiter.
What a frickface Jupiter is. Let's launch a nuke at it.

Probably is. Many images of space are just human processed raw data.

From what I understand Jupiter has no "surface". They think it may or may not have a small solid core I believe. But really they have no idea I think.

Gas giants are uninteresting to me.
They shouldn't be. Without Jupiter you wouldn't exist.

Juno's final maneuver of its mission will have it on a trajectory straight into the atmosphere of Jupiter until it stops transmitting data.

Why can they not get far enough away to capture a photo of Jupiter in full?
They can, but then it won't be high res animation.

We should launch our trash into orbit around earth and/or Jupiter so that we don't pollute the atmosphere

It has as well. The photos in the OP are of the poles, which have never before been seen by other methods of obtaining imagery.

That's like with the mars rover. I'm pretty sure it has no microphone to pic up sound. It's like you spent billions of dollars to send this massive car sized rover to mars. I just think it would be sweet to hear the wind or thunder from another planet.

3rd pic looks like one of those old roman orgy drawings.

Hopefully it sends something back. The radiation is so high near the atmosphere, which is why it has to make these flybys and cannot linger there.

Plus Juno has a shitty camera.
NASA originally wasn't even going to include a camera.
