Here's a great article.

A) The Westbrook comparison is ignorant and "potential assists" numbers are hocus pocus type of metrics. The total points score/created metric is close, and Westbrook is responsible for 51% of the points the Thunder score per game while Harden is responsible for 49% of the points Houston scores.

B) Those metrics only account for offensive numbers. Box plus/minus shows that Westbrook is significantly more valuable to his team overall than Harden is to the Rockets.

C)
quote:

At a glance, James seems to be a lot more efficient, but Harden’s true shooting percentage (62.0) is pretty close to idenitical to LeBron’s (62.1). James has .4 more rebounds, but Harden has 2.5 more assists and 3.4 more points.

I thought it was well known that "James" meant Harden in NBA circles? Apparently the author of that "great" article didn't get the memo.

No I never once said that. If you gotta make stuff up, clear sign that you're losing.

Box plus minus looks only at the box score. And not efficiency. He hits on that in the article.

Wait, so when adjusted for pace, Westbrook is responsible for more points than Harden?
