What are the odds that the FBI indicts Manafort?

The odds are that I don't give a shite

Well. They didnt indict hillary, so not sure how they can justify Manafort.

Understood
But, if Manaford is indicted then that's a major leg of the stool gone. I'm assuming Comey has no choice in his mind but to indict someone and we are getting a stream of intel being fed into the media by the FBI on Manafort.
It may just be a political hitjob by Comey but if Trumps Campaign Chair is arrested for colluding with the Russians then Trumps going to be in a political shite storm that will make Clinton's Lewinsky scandal look like a speeding ticket.

I am really assuming one of the reasons Paul Manafort was let go is because the Trump people found out some shady shite about him.

My theory about the whole Russian collusion narrative and the Trump surveillance narrative is that Manafort is under a legitimate investigations so both stories have been linked and then inflated by this investigation.
So in the end, Manafort may have some real issues, but the overly correlated narratives are largely just narratives.

Yeah, no. He'll let the evidence and facts make that determination.

Kushner wanted him out and the big reasons were Russia and a crappy Convention.

Someone in Intelligence probably let Trump or Kushner know Manaford was still communicating with Russia.

I think Manafort should probably be more worried about the odds Putin regards him as a loose end whose risk now exceeds its value.
I'm not even talking about Trump necessarily-- Putin probably doesn't want someone going on the record over Ukraine.

The absurd lengths Spicer went to minimize Manafort's role in the campaign point to them being worried he's about to go down.

Great Point!!!
The paper trail behind Manafort is damning. 15 Ukraine accounts, 10 shell corporations and he is wanted for questioning in the Ukraine? Yea, Manaford might want to come back to the states and take a plea deal.

Richard Engel had some interesting reporting on NBC News last night, and if true, I can't imagine Manafort escaping an indictment. It was in reference to the money laundering allegations, and allegedly Manafort had a dozen or so shell companies with bank accounts in Cyprus. Money would go in each one, and right back out the next day. When the bank questioned him about a couple of the transactions, he closed every account the next morning, never answering them.

It's really incredible how deep he was involved in Ukraine and Russia. My feeling is Manafort was communicating back to Russia. I'm not even saying Trump is wrong in this situation because I don't think he really knew who this guy was? Trump knew him for years but Trump wouldn't have any knowledge of his Kremlin ties or that he never cut them.

I believe Flynn is scared out of his mind right now too. The FBI doesn't need much to hang Flynn. Of course, there may be other investigations going on by Army etc.

To be fair to Manafort- if Ukraine doesn't blow up in such a way that they can't destroy the evidence on the way out and if Trump doesn't win, its possible he would have skated. Remember this is a guy who in the 80s was accused of bribing a French President with illegal contributions from a Middle Eastern Arms dealer to push through France's sale of submarines to Pakistan.
That's like part of a Bond plot. The dude is shady as frick but has always managed to be just indispensable enough to avoid going down.
OTOH- Trump took a ton of shite from basically every foreign policy expert who was asked (on both the left and the right) when he hired the guy. I get that he probably assumed it was just more bitching from the establishment but even a cursory background check should have shown Trump it might be a bad idea to toss him the reins.

I will say it again. Investigation started in July. Manafort was out days later.

Let's be honest though. Manafort was brought in specifically to round up delegates for the convention. Supposedly, Manafort was the authority on whipping delegate and the GOP had no other veterans around except crazy Stone.

What would they indict him for? I don't see it happening. I think this is going to be Hillary's emails all over again. Comey is going to come on prime time in about September 2018 and say Manafort had some untoward contacts with the Russians, but no reasonable prosecutor blah blah blah.
