I never assumed she thought Lincoln may have wanted to MAGA, but I do have a sense of humor and parody and irony and file her comment under "play stupid games."
To elaborate, for the meta-faux outraged in this thread: Chelsea acting as though Lincoln is some Caesar-god, the defilement of whom is blasphemy, deserves all of the shite that she received. And I always assumed it was just that--giving her shite.

It was a stupid tweet by Chelsea. Not because I think she does not know Lincoln never wore the MAGA cap.
I also don't think she was asking if the program cover was photo shopped.
I think she was trying to make a joke and draw attention to a political view with which she disagrees.
Stupid....because it left her the butt of her joke!

The media has made a living off of doing this to the right. The difference is the right is just having fun with this and having a laugh.
