Mark IIIs are fun to look into, the subtle differences in sound associated with the different color stripes make that series of Mark unique

I've likely owned or I'm sure I've at least played most of the stripes of IIIs over the years. I think I had already owned two or three in the 90s before I even knew different versions existed. The differences are so, so subtle, I don't think anyone (include Boogie's tech team) could distinguish between two dialed-in-identically heads in a blindfold A/B test if power amps are configured identically (Class A vs. Simulclass). I know I couldn't pass that test. Tube and cab/speaker selection and knowing how to actually dial a III correctly at various volumes are more critical. And if you get those variables right for your ears and hands, they are all superb, regardless of the series.
