My favorite LSU player over the past 20 years was a 6'7, 210 lb forward, Ronald Dupree. I'll take guys like him all day over 6'8-6'10 stiffs that can't play. Heck wasn't Tyrus Thomas only like 6'7 when he came here? Same with Mickey.

Guys like Alexander, Sims and maybe even Rachal just have to play a bit bigger. I'd much rather great athletes that might be a bit undersized versus a huge guy with no game..

Wayde Sims isn't Ronald Dupree. Rachal is a shooting guard and Alexander is a wing as well

For every Ronald Dupree or Charles Barkley there's dozens and dozens and dozens of guys like Brian Bridgewater and Wayde Sims who ARE NOT post players on this level, because it's not as easy as snapping your fingers and "play a bit bigger" as you put it. Not every 6'6 guy can bang inside and win most battles against guys who are 6'8-6'10. There's a reason most post players ARE NOT that short, but rather more in that 6'8+ range.

The fact is, the only bigs on the team for next season is Reath and ER III. We know ER III can't play. We have tried time and time again to put 6'10 Epps in as a PF and it usually ends with him hanging out around the perimeter like a 2-guard and getting pushed around in the post defensively for an easy bucket for the other team. Just like not every 6'6 guy can win battles down in the post, sometimes 6'10 guys cant either.

Alexander is a wing, Sims is a wing, Epps is a wing. We've got PLENTY of guards and wings yet only 1 guy who can play down in the post for any length of quality time.

We DESPERATELY need to find a big to fill minutes in next season if we want to have any sort decent success. Whoever that is should start or probably play 20+ minutes a game...because we cant have Reath out there for 40 minutes a game and 3 guards and a wing playing all the time.
