This is what Jindal was supposed to be and all he did was put the state deeper and deeper in debt all while raping the rainy day fund year after year. JBE now wants to push that burden on the people of the state. Both mindsets can eat a bag of dicks so I'm not really sure where we go from here.

I hope he fricks over every single person in this state. Maybe next time the idiots that keep voting to put this type of fricker in office will learn their lessons and STOP voting for pricks like this.

Thank you.

A corporation generating revenues doesn't necessarily generate profits.

Good point.

Many of the services that the governor wants to make subject to sales taxes — including cable TV and internet service — are already taxed in neighboring Texas.

If JBE wants us to pass a tax reform package to make us more like Texas, then someone needs to remind him that Texas doesn't have a state income tax. That's why they have higher property taxes and get taxed on things like cable and internet. I'm all for adding taxes to my TV/internet bill as long as we're eliminating state income tax at the same time.

You're acting like anyone in this thread is praising Jindal.

You people, that's right you people, act like Texans don't pay taxes. Do you know what the property tax is like in Texas? Believe me, the government is gonna get their money. It doesn't matter what you call the tax.

Corporations already pay Louisiana sales and use tax, I assume what he is proposing is something similar to Texas' gross margin tax. High tech start ups would likely still show a loss on this tax. Could be wrong though, out of the state and local game so I'm not researching it...

That being said, Louisiana isn't developing a high tech start up industry for the sole reason that it is Louisiana. Nothing to do with taxes.

JBE openly endorsed the policies of Obama, Landrieu, Hillary & the DNC. With the only exceptions being gun & birth control, both political necessities in La. Why is anyone surprised at what he's all about? The Democratic party is all bout raising taxes in order to fund more entitlements for its constituents.
