Bunchy I have a lil info from a good source within org. One, if deal is done, won't be 11 or 32. More than likely pick(s) in future draft. Two, saints view Butler as somewhat of a product of Pats D/Belicheck, similar to Cooks being somewhat a product of Saints O/ Brees. They view Butler as a high end, solid CB2 type and not some top 5-10 shutdown type corner. Certainly a guy they can use but they won't go too crazy in compensation Also said to watch pick 32 as possible trade bait for more picks on draft day (we kinda figured that anyways) Take it fwiw
Any info as to how close this is to being done?

Thank god the FO is seeing the light. I thought they had him pegged as a lockdown corner for a second

Really? If so, that could really hold up negotiations. I am sure he and his agent see him as a CB1 all day and will look to be paid like one.

Saints won't have a problem paying him the going rate for good CB. The CB2 thing wasn't a knock per se, just not that elite level type guy
