Seems like all flagships are getting major upgrades this year. Will the price increases also be major? Are we looking at $1k phones from companies not named after fruit?

Looks like it. If those specs are real then I know I'm not getting it.

If we are, I may just move to midrange phones. A lot of midrange phones now have the features that were once only found on premium phones (HD displays, fingerprint sensor, decent cameras).
1k is ridiculous considering most phones stop receiving updates after 2 years and are getting harder to root.

Yeah thank goodness for flagship killer brands.

8GB of RAM..................

I'll stick with my Pixel XL for quite a while I suppose.
Kids both have Nexus 6P - each of these can be picked up in mint condition for about $350 - $400 on Swappa. Good value and a solid phone.
Wife wants the new Apple 8 when it comes out. Simply can't get her to move away from the fruit company.

To hold all those preloaded bloatware apps from the manufacture and phone company together..it's ridiculous how many apps that came on my note5 that I can't uninstall without rooting my phone...I don't even use half of them..

I think HTC has one of the lightest skins on the market actually.
My phone has 6GB of RAM and it isn't even shipped to carriers.

6P owner here, got the wife a OnePlus 3t this week..really impressed, great phone. I'll likely be getting whatever new phone OnePlus puts out this year to replace the 6P.

That's a lot of RAM. Reminds me of the pixel count wars on cameras.

Same here. Google phones have gone up. I'm happy with my Nexus 5x.

Yeah I have the OnePlus 3. It has been a great phone considering it cost me $399.

I'm waiting on the V30 or the new one plus. This 6p isn't even a year old and I feel like it's outdated.

I'm going with the S8 Edge Plus, thing is too damn sexy and I want as big a screen as I can get so the 6.2" is perfect.
Finally removed the ugly arse physical home button too.
