There's an easy way that will drop probably 70lbs of that. Just throw everything away that is in a dang box. Only, and only, shop the edges of the supermarket. I had to completely rethink what is food.
There are diets and lifestyles that we can beat our heads on, but most will agree to shop the edges of any store and no boxed food.

She doesn't have to exercise. She just has to eat less than her BMR. No time is not an excuse. Exercise only speeds it up (or makes you more hungry) and helps you retain your muscle mass (and she doesn't seem to care about that at all). Check the alcohol consumption too. So many calories.

I gave up. She gained a lot while pregnant. It was like an excuse to say f*** it then never lost it. It's not like the weight built up slowly over time. In the last 5 years or so since it's just compounded. The concept isn't there. Even tho I keep myself in decent shape I agreed to do a diet plan with her a couple of years ago. Only problem was I'd come home from work and she'd be drinking margaritas and eating chips and salsa with the neighbor.
Me - so you decided to skip the diet today?
Her - no, I was good all day, so I decided to reward myself!
Me - that's not how it works. It's a lifestyle change not just something to do for 8 hours then party
Her - you're being too controlling
There's no hope.
You need to calmly (KEY WORD) express that you feel she's given up and that you want to set a good example for the kids and that you are concerned for her health. Avoid framing it like "you are fat now, so I have no desire to frick you."
However, let her know that it isn't fair to you or the kids for her to give up and let it go. It's a lifestyle change and that you're willing to do it with her and hold each other accountable.
If she refuses that or gets upset, then you either have to accept having a fat wife or leave her. My recommendation is not to break up your home for the kids. If you accept her being fat, just be as blunt as possible when she asks why you never want to be seen in public with her.

The guaranteed best way to get your wife to lose the weight is to leave her. She will be back to 115 in a couple months. "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" is definitely true.

Regardless of discussions, they think gyms are nasty and superficial, no room in the house for home gym equipment, and have zero concepts of what healthy eating is.
run around the neighborhood a few times a week and eat better. it's not that hard.

Send her my way. I'll get her in shape for you. She will be skinny and happy.
