that article reads funny...
like the Kantrows don't really know french cooking terms.. but throw them all together anyway..
Coq Au Vin Blanc.... ? So it's Chicken Beurre Blanc?

Just based off that article alone, this place seems like a concept doomed to fail in a market like Baton Rouge.

Chicken with white wine... but I haven't taken French in many years.

yes.. Vin Blance does literally mean "white wine"
But Coq au Vin doesn't really like to differentiate from red since traditionally it masks the color of the rooster blood

I've been once. Had cocktails (decent), the traditional flambee (not that great), and meatballs (good). Overall, it was OK not great. It might would survive in Perkins Rowe with the foot traffic, but since Willow Grove is a destination, I dont know that it will make it past a year or two. One thing it has going for it is that little neighborhood really only has that and Bistro Byronz to walk to....meh. We'll see.

I had it last week. I thought it was decent. I was starving. I think I'd like to try an open faced sandwich next time.
