Seems like all their guys are older. I like the way ESPN has brought in younger guys during NFL season. I wish MLBN did this.

Are you serious? Most of their guys didn't retire that long ago. Cliff Floyd, Mark DeRosa, Eryc Byrnes, Sean Casey, Al Leiter, John Smoltz etc. either you're not paying attention or you're just dumb.

Vasgersian also had a great rant one Humid arse night in St.Louis. It was 98 degree and humid as frick at 8pm, and Padres were getting arse handed to them, and he went into this rant:

quote:

8-06-07 Ninth inning Greene hits a double down the line and two fans go over wall to get the ball....Here is broadcast I taped it channel4San Diego...First they are called yahoos.......(Matt V.).........As one of the ozarks finest pours himself out of the grandstands.....pause...and by the way the Rams should still be in L.A.......Had it with this place already.....pause....get back in your el camino and drive back to the ozarks...........Then with Baird at bat Matt forgot to hit his cough switch in faint audio you here......Im done with this place...Im so tired of losing here.....Its hotter than shite......We get our asses kicked every time we come here .....Im not coming here next year.

And unlike ESPN, most of their guys can actually speak proper English. Off the top of my head Pedro is the only one who can't.

I'll listen to Brian Kenny blast backwards thinking baseball guys all day. MLBN > anything ESPN is putting out.

Wasn't the game the STL broke a team record by scoring a dozen runs in an inning?

I have been hoping they would finally ditch Kurkjian for years. He constantly talks about meaningless obscure stats that no one else cares about. I liked when they had Phillips and the former Blue Jays GM as analysts. I enjoy hearing former GM's give perspective you don't often get to hear.
