Fellas-
Im going on a trip this weekend to Broken Bow to fish the Lower Mountain Fork River.
We are not bringing fly gear (even though we probably should).
We plan on usuing light spinning and baitcasts.
What baits should i bring? I know this depends on target species. Im figuring trout, small and large mouth.
What set up and gear will i need for trout? Any recomendations? Anyone have a go-to bait for up there? Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks!

Polar Pop is going up there soon too.
I just got back from the White River. The Eggworm was the best bait of everything we tried.

Find a feeder creek and look under rocks for small crawfish.
Catch crawfish
Place on hook freelined in current
Catch bass and trout on said crawfish

Ill be there this weekend also, got a stabbin cabin off Old Hochatown Rd. near BB state park.
I went ahead and booked a 4hr Saturday trip for $200 with Steve Branson since my time is limited and I would like my wife to get on some fish. Will be using spinning gear for the same reasons.
From what I can tell, the "White River Rig" is what is mostly used as far as presentation, others can chime in for baits and tips.
Make sure you look at the LMF section map as far as limits, barbed/barbless hook use, etc.

Another great bait is a little inline spinner. Set a split shot about 6 inches in front of it to keep it lower in the water. Put a couple powerbait eggs on the hook, then a little cut piece of shrimp (we just buy the walmart peeled shrimp, fill the rest of the hook up with whole kernel corn. This works every time.

I've never fished Broken Bow, are there that many bass? I thought it was mainly for trout.
The eggworm is only for trout. Listen to those guys about the crawfish, spinners, crank baits and creature baits for bass.
