He completed passes of 33, 30, 29, 18 and 17 yards vs Florida. That's 5 completions over 15 yards and that's plenty of downfield passing. Not completing any is bad 4 is plenty but you're incorrect on the amount also. Guess how many 10 yard passes Watson completed against Bama to win the natty this year? The answer 5 and he had one less than Etling vs Florida that went for 15 yards.

You added that screen pass in there which makes it 5 by your logic. Otherwise its 4.

If he is even in the Top 6 SEC QBs next year, I'll be impressed. There are at least three in our division better than him right now.

No there isn't on the stat sheet. They both go down as a pass play and a reception for x amount of yards. Of course there's a difference but not in the box score.

My god you're stupid it's not 5 or 4 it's fricking 8 pass plays for 10 yards or more. You can't even lie correctly you're so dumb.

Look, I hope Danny is the man next year. But this thread and thought process of being all SEC is a little ridiculous

For returning QBs, he is:

6th in completion %

5th in passer rating

5th in TDs

7th in Yards

You gotta look at his numbers after coach O took over. His volume stats are also skewed because he didn't start all of our games and we also lost a game to weather.

Its a big difference when you game plan for a team. You know why LSU scored 10 points vs Fla. and 0 vs Bama?
Because there was no vertical passing game threat. They took their chances and played man to man and dared ETLINGZ TO PASS the ball...which worked. DUH

Now if LSU had a bettet qb they probably would have won someone like Watson, who you mentioned earlier.

If not being a homer, the kid from Georgia (Eason) will be the best QB in the SEC.

That dude was garbage last year.

He was a true freshman that put up, what would be LSU's best qb performance since Mett.

2500 yards, 16 TD, and 8 Int.

Not garbage, IMO. And, talent-wise, no one in this conference is close.

He started only 2 game under Miles......

And one of which was one of his better games....

Yes I was incorrect about Watson but so are you he completed 14 passes over 10 yards not 19 I know you can't count but you're wrong

Please show me my post where I said one single word about passes over 10 yards or how many of them there occurred. Thanks

Well I gotta disagree about any of his games under miles was one of his better games. And 2 games is a lot on average that's over 400 more yards if you count the game lost to weather it's over 600 so it makes a difference. Plus when you consider two if those games were scrub teams those numbers most likely go up.

He was the same QB under O as he was under Miles.

2 particular games have proven that.
