Take the $ you would spend on the RV and take the kids to stay at top drawer resorts, Ritz Carlton, etc.

With what is leftover, you can buy them a car for college.

Bonus: far less pain in the arse.

My wife just about refuses to stay in any hotel now. She has always been grossed out by hotel rooms in general. But a few years ago she saw a news report where they checked hotel rooms ranging from budget places to five star resorts. In virtually every room, no matter how fancy the palce, when they'd turn on the blue light, it looked like a freaking slaughterhouse from all the "body fluids" on virtually everything. They also showed in the story how a lot of even the "exclusive" places change the bedding only like once a month, some even longer.

Anyway, that's when she decided from now on when we go on vacation she wants us to have a camper so we could have our own place with our own bed to stay in.

We've had our camper almost three years now and I've got to say we've loved it.
