You're here because you're tough?

I mean you could discourage sitting star players for rest for nationally televised games.
I understand the Spurs and why they had to sit 2 of their biggest stars (concussion and a legit heart condition), but they didn't have to sit out Parker or Murray realistically. At the same time, Durant has to sit out legitimately, but they didn't have to sit out the other big 4 guys on their roster for rest.
If it was a locally televised game vs say philly, it wouldn't be as big if a deal.

I'm so confused. I'm pretty sure they could make that stupid rule you proposed and Pop will still sit Duncan!

Why did you start this thread if you have all the answers?

You don't.
The best you can do is have an owner's meeting and help them understand the TV money isn't going to last and the only way to ensure salaries stay anywhere close to where they are now is to put out the best product possible.
I am kind of looking forward to the "bubble" popping

I don't see this as a problem. Regular season is close to meaningless for elite teams. You could maybe take less playoff teams making first round matchups much tougher if you don't get the top seed.

If the teams could submit to the league the games they plan on resting starters in advance that's help the league communicate to the networks of what to expect.
Kinda like submitting a line up early for any possible prime time games.

And Larry could've had a much better end of his career if he wasn't constantly injured from all the wear and tear he put on his body in his earlier years
GTFO. Joel Embid has gotten plenty of rest with no "wear & tear" & the chump can't stay on a court . Stuff happens . Bird had a bad back .
Pull up Elvin Hayes , Kareem , Wilt , Russell Karl & Moses Malone, Kobe, Kidd etc.....
Why not sit for the Timberwolves( not the Spurs in PrimeTime) if back to backs are so terrible for their fragile bodies & they are " tired"?
Go all out to beat the Timberwolves ( and lose) and throw in the towel on the Spurs?
Where is the Competiveness?

Just as they fake fouls by flopping , injuries will be faked. Rules cannot overcome a lack of heart or competiveness.
The Warriors played all out against the Timberwolves the night before ,but chose to sit out a nationally televised game against the Spurs?

Minutes played really isn't the issue though .
According to the numbers Curry alone plays 32/33 mpg . A little more than 2 & a half quarters per night. Spurs certainly don't play exorbitant minutes.
Minutes don't seem to matter much.

Now THAT's good info. I didn't realize that.

Thinking today about how some of the most Storied games in NBA history are " meaningless" regular season games:
1)Wilt scores 100 & is mobbed by fans at midcourt.
2)Dr J "Rocks the Baby" so intense it remembered more by fans than the '83 NBA Finals.
3)Kobe scores 81 & then 60 in his finale.
What about that fan paying his/her hard earned money to see a paltry 33 mpg Curry & he is "tired"?
There's a reason a player like Jordan played 80 plus games in 10 of his 14 full seasons:
1 ) competiveness
2) respect for fans who paid to see him

Why did the players agree to go from Best of 5 in the 1st round to Best of 7? Either they want more money or more rest. Don't bitch when you played a part in how things are.
