Driverless cars depend on lane markings don't they? How do you think a driverless car is going to handle roads maintained the way Baton Rouge's roads are? Or worse...New Orleans?

Even the smooth roads have worn out markings, weird and random pavement cuts, poorly marked side lines, and often feature at least some standing water in rain storms.

I think we are more than a decade away from being able to do this properly.

I still believe this is many years away. Seems really cool thou. I have a long commute to work, so this would be awesome for people like me. I can just nap, jerk off, or read instead of driving
