They will all be OK in five years

Negative. They aren't even from the same town or the same age.

"Dickerson recruited the plaintiffs and convinced them to let Pickett & Co. prepare their personal tax returns as part of a scheme to organize farming operations for Dickerson."
Seriously? WhoTF allows this without knowing what's going on? SHTF only when the wheels fell off IMO.

shite hits the fan when the government starts missing money, as was the case here for Tommy.

"Recruited" makes it seem like he went out and found some random stooges. "The plaintiffs" were just some good ole baws working for their buddy Tommy's farm. It's not uncommon for farmers to create different entities in their wife, farm managers, kids, whatevers names so that they can get the government payments attached to a certain piece of property (not really illegal, just a way to get around the system). I think "the plaintiffs" knew that was going on, but didn't have a clue about any of the other.

One only has to look at Poverty Point Reservoir and Black Bear Golf Course. So much corruption there. Taxpayers made a few higher ups a LOT of money.
One got caught but there are a few more that I wonder how they can sleep at night

Speaking of ranches that safari thing they had out in Delhi and the bar etc was a big racket too if I remember right. Shits rampant in that neck of the woods

That one had it all. Sex, drugs, rock n roll, a drive thru Safari Park and the owner ended up torching the place and getting away with it. They just wanted him out of town for good.

Remove your head from your arse dude.
i mean i am bit sarcastic but as far as government cronyism it is not all that bad. Much better than the highway contracts that handed out annual to the same good ole boys that continue to underperform.
the whole audubon golf trail was just a way for politicians to get state park money into their parishes, it is no surprise that they strategically places said courses.

thats a bummer, it was getting pretty rough last time i played last summer. i heard they were redoing but who knows. That course was about the only thing i like about working up there.

Given other things I've heard, this could get into FSA personnel also as TD seems to have manipulated payments there.
From what I heard FSA was the one that found out about all the shell games and brought it to light. Everything else just came up after.
I also heard that one of the guys he screwed over was the one who found him after the shite started hitting the fan and TD was nowhere to be found. Most people were assuming he was already laid up on an island somewhere, but this guy got to him. There may or may not have been a gun drawn and threats issued.

It's not a goat ranch. They lost their fairway bunkers, but the rest is in fine shape. Green side bunkers are good. I don't mind getting a free drop out of the fairway bunkers.

Ok, maybe goat ranch is a little strong but disappointed they don't keep it up better and will not drive there anymore from Funroe.

I don't really see the issues other that the fairway bunkers. Right now it looks like any other decent course looks coming out of winter and into the spring. It's still by far the best public track around here.

by a pretty wide margin, IMO.
it was also a nice change of pace from the flat course I am use to playing in Houston and Baton Rouge.

Sold him and his family a 90,000 Winnebago a few years back. They bought it by looking at pictures I emailed and texted them. First time they actually saw it was the day they came to pick it up. Did not even try to haggle on price paid full sticker. Also paid for it that day with a cashiers check. Finance guy was pissed he was sure they would be financing. I said man I am in the wrong business should have been a farmer. Now I know how he did it. Made a nice CEO commission that say.

Haven't played there since about this time last year but they had huge weeds growing in them with little to no sand. Just a huge eyesore. Don't get me wrong, I love the tract. Just needs some work. Are they out of money trying to operate it?

So they don't mind stealing from tax payers but when Tommy stole from them they get up in arms.
