But graphics move those systems at launch more than the games anyway and Nintendo doesn't have the wow graphics I guess what I'm saying is nintendo is hoping the people who buy this are people for whom the Wii U may as well not have existed, and who don't have the time for more dedicated gaming machines like PlayStation even though they'd like to

That may be what they are hoping. But I just don't see that market as being that big. Sure it's there but not enough to sustain a system IMO.
They need the DS share. But that does not seem to be their plan.
Bottom line is systems are bought for games.
