No tools? You have a bunch of trees. You could get strong enough branches to make spears to kill rabbits, squirrel, small deer for food. You could also use branches and fur from the animals to make fishing poles.. And with the money generated from selling some land, I would go to closes walmart in Utah to buy some supplies to give my people. Tents, chainsaws, gas, matches, some guns, gardening tools, duct tape. Then I would buy some servers to establish our own network and the citizens would be able to generate money through the internet, because I would issue everyone between the ages of 18-64 a lap top.

You think the average person could kill an animal with a somehow sharpened stick turned into a spear?

Fishing poles out of branches and fur from these animals?

Walk a couple hundred miles to a Walmart with the money from a real estate deal that you somehow made on the fly with no Internet, phone, or anything?

Servers on your barren land that doesn't have power or anything?

Holy shite I'm bored here but your ideas completely aren't realistic with your scenario. It would be people eating leaves and berries and bugs. Drinking out of a stream or lake, if they can find one. And probably a bunch of people dead from freaking out and pissing people off to other shite like cannibalism and rape. Realistically, probably less than 5% would survive and make it to civilization depending on where the scenario started

Good luck harvesting trees without tools

I'd love to see people from the 21st century trying to kill small animals with sharpen sticks. And at that, kill enough to feed 5000 people.

Yes of course you could. Maybe in minecraft.

Selling land that you can't govern anyway to someone that would be one sneeze away from manifest destiny'ing your arse.

Exactly. And those people that do survive, probably around 150, would all separate to find their own reliable food/water sources and you'd be back in prehistoric times.
