One place that really makes me nostalgic, although they haven't gone out of business (but are nowhere nearly as popular as before) is Abercrombie. For some reason that place really reminds me of being 17-20 years old.
I remember when Abercrombie and Fitch actually sold sporting goods

What was the deal with the Pizza Hut debacle in Baton Rouge? The franchisee refused to pay up to Pizza Hut, and they shut him down? I remember we had a few years of getting Pizza Hut at Taco Bell until the To-Go places opened up.

Lundy was an A-1 snake charmer... didn't pay his royalties and owed millions in back taxes. He basically never paid his sales taxes, kept that money for himself, buying new cars and whatnot with any profits he made, without investing any $ back into his properties, which turned to shite very quickly. Finally corporate stepped in when he owed more than $14 million.

Supposedly there was one in BR on Acadian. But I don't recall it at all.

It is where Mestizo is now (across from TJ Ribs). It was a Dennys for a while after Dennys bought Sambos.

There was also a Denny's on Sherwood. Their 'Super Bird' sandwich and French Slam FTW

Speaking of that area, I also miss Bamboo House on Boardwalk, across from Chuck E Cheese. Best Chinese buffet in history. "Numba five, pick up prease"
