Exactly. I don't believe in the philosophy of "let me see how bad this dude whoops my arse before I decide to equal things out".

Oh bullshite. Do you put on your seat belt because you have a fear of driving?..have flotation devises in your boat because you have a fear of water?..fire extinguishers in you garage because you have a fear of fire?..saw guards on your table saw because you have a fear of woodworking?? That whole line of reasoning is simply crap.

I still believe it's an irrational fear. Thousand time greater chance of a car accident happening to you than you being in a life and death situation and having to use a firearm.

We don't talk about our guns like we talk about fire extinguishers and seat belts. That's way they aren't comparable. We don't go over dramatic fire extinguisher scenarios where we saved innocent lives from the impending danger of radical fires. Also a seatbelt isn't going to kill you. A fire extinguisher isn't going to kill you. Your gun would.

You're rationalizing. Do you fear learning that what you believed was wrong? What are you afraid of??

Yes and now because of this bill they can carry a firearm without a permit.

Isn't this opinion fear based as well?

I'm afraid of stuff. I'm talking about irrational fears that I try to keep out of my life. I don't always succeed

for many that fear will come too late...after they are already been fattened up and in the boiling pot and cooking...
Maybe by their next life time they'll know the real deal
That it was never going to be enough to bow and kneel
And now tell me, now that you have no soul, just how does it feel!!!!!

Even as home protection, the chances of me ever having to use them is incredibly slim. It's all fear.

Do you have health, auto, or home insurance?

Thanks for the answer.

Wouldn't being afraid of someone legally carrying be sort of an irrational fear?

But if a Muslim Communist terrorist attacks a church packed full of patriotic Christians, the crazy man will be able to dispose of the scumbag with deft precision. And no righteous person will be hurt because he didn't have a permit to slow him down!

I'm not afraid of citizens with guns. I just said they carry guns because of fear based shoot out scenarios that they basically fabricate because the statistics don't support it.

I see your point with that stats and you are correct in that there are far greater dangers that being a victim of violent crime.

That said, I don't get your issue with someone exercising their right to carry. So what if they do? It's their business as long as they don't harm someone else.

Fear based? Obviously it's fear based. People are dying everyday at the hands of criminals. People don't carry guns because the crime rate in the US is zero.
