Ask all of those people who lost their jobs as a result of it. NAFTA was a disaster for this country.

I can think of two practical reasons.
One, Mexican trucking is undercutting American trucking because Mexican commercial trucks can drive on American roads with Mexican plates.
No. 2, with shoddy Mexican inspection practices, those vehicles also are being allowed to run on American roads, with sometimes tragic results.
