5. Dwayne Bowe 2006 (65 REC) (990 YDS) (12 TDS)
4. Michael Clayton 2003 (78 REC) (1079 YDS) (10 TDS)
3. Jarvis Landry/ OBJ 2013 Combined stats: (136 REC) (2346 YDS) (18 TDS)
2. Wendell Davis 1986 (80 REC) (1244 YDS) (11 TDS)
1. Josh Reed 2001 (94 REC) (1740 YDS) (7TDS) (18 YPC)
Thoughts? I couldn't decide between OBJ and Jarvis 2013

Jarvis was better that year imo

Yea I agree statistically he was better but OBJ just brought so much excitement that year. He was also a great returner.

A case can be made for both. OBjr had more yards from scrimmage with 15 less plays. Landry had more tds. Its amazing we had those 2 and had a rb having the 2nd best rushing season in lsu history(at the time) and he was setting the sec single season ypc record.

Reed was absolutely dominant in 2001. He single-handedly eviscerated Bama. Levitated for a TD against GT in the Peach Bowl. Converted RB who no one could stop, even when they knew he was getting the ball.

Accurate list, but Josh Reed's final stats for that 2001 season is 108 Rec, 1979yds, 9TD. You can put Josh Reed's 2000 season as #3 by itself with 74 Rec, 1223yds, 11TD. That Rohan to Reed connection was pretty special.
I think 2013 tandem of Landry/OBJ is GOAT, but the 2006 trio of Bowe/Doucet/Davis was prety special too. Bowe had the best stats of the 3, but the other two were just as good, and right behind Bowe on stats. 2003 trio of Clayton/Henderson/Green come in just behind.

Josh Reed was always getting extra yardage. I am still amazed when I watch highlights of him in 2000-01. I also can't remember him ever not catching something that was thrown anywhere near him.

Great talent and great NFL receiver but in terms of college stats he never went over 750 yards and 5 tds.

I'll always put Clayton at #1 he was a baller, loved watching him clean house in kickoff coverage favorite player all time at lsu

Watching Reed was something truly special. Saban actually was the one that moved him from RB - WR and it was one hell of a move. JR was simply untouchable that year

#1 is Josh Reed and I really don't think it's close. Not really worth debating. 2-5 would be a good discussion though.
It amazed me how wide open that guy was seemingly every reception. Dude had his on zipcode at times.
