Indeed. I am very ignorant on transgenders. Never met one, never been around one, to my knowledge. I'm trying to reach a level of empathy for them and gain a better understanding of what they're about.
I liked it better when both sides were ignorant of transgenders and we both just went about our merry ways. Though I admit that ignores some struggles transgenders went through. It's just such a foreign concept to me.

We don't need to develop empathy and understanding for every paraphilia and addiction. It's ok to say "that's nuts."
