I'm not going to pretend to be an expert, but I've heard rumors of the composite bats of '08 and '09 launching balls up to 120 mph. "If" this is true I'd say they are in the same class as the late 90's bats.

On a different note, does anyone think CPM will go after a few more big sluggers in recruiting classes because of the new ball? I do think the difference in flight is slightly noticeable.

I hope so, i like have some sluggers and some guys that are good with small ball
