pretty much everything has met my expectations...i'm buying this launch day for Zelda and portability.

I think video streaming and no internet browsing are more disappointing than this...the launch is clearly rushed though, they're quite correct, but no one is twisting arms to make you buy this on launch day. Nintendo probably should've made clear what will not be ready for launch at an earlier day though.

but with nothing being said about virtual console at all, was this really a big shocker?

I would have bought VC games Day 1 and nothing else if they had VC.
