Nintendo has a history of poor launch titles with it pretty much being one Mario or Zelda title and a bunch of shovelware alongside it.
The N64 sticks out to me because there was Mario, Waverace, and shite like Killer Instinct Gold and Cruizin USA which sold out just because of a lack of other choices.
Not that other launch title sets are much better but the massive sales of the AAA in house stuff and lackluster sales of third party stuff for Nintendo consoles tends to highlight it.
